Traces and findings

Inspect recorded execution, distinguish completion from safety, and triage a violation.

Find a trace

Open Traces in the correct organization. Use the available agent, time and status filters, refresh if necessary, and select a trace. A trace list can contain direct evaluations and instrumented application activity; they represent different execution boundaries.

The detail view shows retained execution metadata, span relationships and findings. Input/output may be absent by design under metadata-only capture. A model span is useful evidence of an instrumented call; an evaluation trace alone does not prove a provider request happened.

Check completion before interpreting the decision

Inspect the evaluation completion status, errors and applicable policy count. Unknown, degraded, unavailable or not configured must not be relabelled as safe. An allowed warning can still contain a violation, while an unavailable blocking detector can deny without a normal positive finding.

Use trace comparison for the same tested behavior after a change. Check target, input availability, policy versions, timestamps and integration version so that the comparison has a meaningful common scope.

Triage a finding

Open Violations, filter the relevant policy/severity/status and inspect the associated trace. The workflow supports open, acknowledged, resolved and false positive states. Record an appropriate resolution note without adding customer secrets to the record.

Acknowledging or resolving a violation changes its triage state. It does not change the policy, rerun the application or establish remediation. Reproduce the behavior, make the change, and run a saved regression before treating the issue as fixed.

Export and retain

The trace list offers JSON/CSV export for its selected filters. Inspect exported scope and fields before sharing; a filtered export is not an unlimited archive. Metadata-only exports should not be expected to contain replayable prompt text.

Use reports and audit evidence for a broader workspace review. For missing records, check instrumentation and receipt and processing/capture limits.
